Eco Index Update and Equipment Subgroup Status Report (Outdoor University Sustainability Workshop)

This workshop will provide a brief overview of the current state of the Eco Index project, including major happenings since Outdoor Retailer Winter Market. The majority of the session will focus on providing attendees with insight into the work of the Eco Working Group’s Equipment Subgroup, which has been meeting since March to further develop the Eco Index content to ensure its relevancy beyond apparel and footwear to tents, packs, skis, snowboards, bikes, water bottles, and other equipment products. The group’s work will ultimately inform an equipment-specific Index tool module that will be applicable to all outdoor gear.

This sustainability workshop will take place during Outdoor Retailer Summer Market on Friday, August 5 from noon to 1:30pm at the Salt Lake City Marriott Downtown, Salons E, and is free for OIA members and non-members.
