The OIA Rendezvous is an annual leadership conference that provides the outdoor industry with the single most powerful, creative and productive gathering of influential executives and strategic staff members.

RENDEZVOUS PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Keynote Speakers – Look for keynote speaker sessions to inform and inspire on broad issues relevant to all Rendezvous attendees. Scheduled so all Rendezvous participants can attend.

Breakout Sessions – Experts on specific topics share experiences and strategies to apply new methods to your business practices. Concurrent breakout sessions offered to give Rendezvous participants a choice in relevant topics of learning.

Networking – organized opportunities to catch up with old friends and circulate with industry participants. Networking events include a coordinated component to encourage introductions among new Rendezvous participants, new industry members, OIA Staff and Board Members.

Recreation and Entertainment – Outdoor recreation opportunities, projects, music and arts, and day-trips build play into your Rendezvous experience. All levels and experiences are welcome at organized recreational events.

Volunteer Service Project
A tradition of giving in the Outdoor Industry

Each year, Rendezvous conference attendees roll up their sleeves and join together for an afternoon of service. This popular event not only provides the satisfaction of hard work and giving back to the community, but provides unsurpassed camaraderie with industry peers in an informal setting.

Since 1996, outdoor industry members have worked to improve hundreds of miles of trails and over fifty facilities; providing residents and visitors with the opportunity to get outside and be active in their communities. Projects have ranged from clearing brush, improving trails, installing erosion and drainage features to painting signs, general park clean-up and repairing/building picnic facilities in areas as diverse as Garden of the Gods, Colorado, Johnson Basin Trail in Uinta National Forest, Utah, McClellan Island in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Dubois Park and the Blanford Canyon Trail in Vancouver, Washington.

The 2008 Volunteer Service Project promises to continue our tradition of service by leaving the greater Boston recreation areas in better shape then when we first arrive.
Work activities will range from strenuous to light labor. No prior experience is required. We hope you will join us!
