OIA Sustainability Working Group Introduction for the Bike Industry

This webinar is an introduction to the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) Sustainability Working Group (SWG), targeted at the bike industry. Attendees will receive a high-level overview of the OIA SWG and its key focus areas:

Higg Index Development (for apparel, footwear, and equipment)
Materials Traceability
Chemicals Management
Social Responsibility

All bike industry companies are invited to participate in any of the OIA SWG groups listed above; after attending this webinar, attendees will have gained basic background information on the goals/objectives of each group and will have a general sense of where they might begin to engage to help bolster their supply chain sustainability efforts.

A follow-up webinar in early 2013 will spend more time introducing the Higg Index for Equipment and other tools being developed by the OIA SWG that may help bike industry companies manage their internal sustainability efforts.
